What is an open identity sperm donor?

Increase Your Income as a Sperm Donor

The COVID-19 crisis has affected nearly all aspects of our lives. If you’ve lost your job or found your work hours reduced due to the virus, you may be able to supplement your income by becoming a sperm donor. Bellevue Sperm Bank is currently looking for healthy males between 18 and 39 to apply to join our program.

If selected, you can consistently earn up to $1,500 per month in our program. You’ll get $100 cash for each approved donation you offer (about 90% of donations are approved), and you can donate several times per week. This give you a good way to make steady money while helping others start or add to their family. In addition, you can earn even more with your referral program. Current donors who refer a friend will receive $200 if that person makes it into the donor program, and another $300 once his donations are released for distribution. And there is no limit on the number of referrals you can make, which boosts your earning potential.

Donors also get a free annual physical exam and access to the results of comprehensive genetic testing we conduct on all applicants. This provides you with valuable information about health conditions you may have but didn’t know about.

How to Become a Sperm Donor

Becoming a donor takes several steps, so you won’t make money right away. But if you do qualify, you will earn steady money once you’re in our program. Here’s how the process works:

First, fill out and submit an online sperm donor application, which takes about 10 minutes. You will then receive an email outlining next steps and what to expect for your initial in-person visit.

The next step is to provide a semen sample at our clinic for lab analysis to determine the overall health of your sperm. We will also freeze and thaw your specimen to test how it survives this process. This first sample is for testing only and will be destroyed following analysis, so you will not be paid for it. Please be aware that sometimes repeat unpaid samples are necessary to check for variations in sperm quality.

If your sample passes, a Bellevue Sperm Bank donor coordinator will reach out to schedule an appointment for a genetic interview that  takes about 45 minutes. You will also complete a comprehensive questionnaire about your personal and family medical history. This includes questions about the medical histories of your extended family members, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, so please come prepared. You will also go over the contract with a donor coordinator so you understand everything and have a chance to ask questions. We also ask you to sign a form consenting to a mandatory background check covering misdemeanors and felonies.

After that step, we’ll schedule your free physical exam from our doctor. This includes a routine physical, color vision test, basic eye exam, and blood and urine collection to test for infectious diseases, genetic carrier status, and other health factors. This testing is free to you and you can request copies of the results to share with your own doctor.

Assuming no conditions are found during your testing that would exclude you from participating, you can then become an active sperm donor and begin getting paid for your donations. Your donations will be kept in cryo-storage for a minimum of six months. Once the six-month quarantine period is over, your samples are released and available for purchase by our clients using our online donor catalog. We request that you commit to donating at least once a week for six months.
